Here’s our round up of the Fairtrade news stories making the headlines at home and abroad recently. If you’ve spotted a news story you think we should mention in our news round up, please get in touch!
- A year and a half since Cadbury began using only Fairtrade chocolate in its Dairy Milk bars, the BBC has been finding out what the change has meant for cocoa farmers in Ghana. Report and video.
- Meanwhile, Ghana News Agency says a further 10 cocoa farms in Ghana are set to receive Fairtrade certification by the end of the year, thanks to the work of the Cadbury Cocoa Partnership.
- The Coventry Telegraph reports on the success of Leamington entrepreneur Sue Acton, whose Bubble and Balm range of products have made it into 57 Waitrose stores up and down the country.
- And from online art newspaper ArtDaily.org, the world’s first ever edible art exhibition! The tasty cakes on display at Tate and Lyle’s Cake Britain event all used Fairtrade sugar.
