News: Don’t forget Thanet Fairtrade Initiative’s Fairtrade tea party this Sunday at Northdown House
3 March, 2011
One of three events taking place as part of Fairtrade Fortnight, our Fairtrade tea party is the perfect way to while away a Sunday afternoon!
Come and join us for a delicious cup of Fairtrade tea at Northdown House, set in the picturesque grounds of Northdown Park, Cliftonville, at 2pm this Sunday (March 6).
We’re honoured to be joined by Mineo Kageya, director of the Japan in Fairtrade Towns initiative, and 15 Japanese students who will be giving an exciting demonstration of a Japanese tea ceremony.
We’re also running a Fairtrade cake baking competition. Bring along a cake no smaller than seven inches in diameter, using as many Fairtrade ingredients as possible. We’ll be serving them up at the tea party and there are prizes for the best!
You don’t need to register or let us know you’re coming – just turn up on the day. We look forward to seeing you then!
