2017 Fairtrade Fortnight
Farmers get a better deal when they sell their crops on Fairtrade terms.
But not enough companies are buying on Fairtrade terms and not enough of us are buying Fairtrade products.
This year we want to get more, new people in Thanet buying Fairtrade items regularly.
See if your favourite coffee place is supporting Fairtrade this fortnight and look out for posters, table talkers and the ‘Breaks & Ladders’ board game to play while you enjoy a cuppa.

Many, many farmers in developing countries are women and there will be a short 10 minute film about Tsala, a tea grower in Malawi and the difference Fairtrade makes to her family and their community. Discussion and Q & As will round off an enjoyable and thought provoking evening. Tickets are £18.00 and available online only from the fair trade ticketing company Brown Paper Tickets
