<ul>
<li>The winners of this year&#8217;s Fairtrade Fortnight Awards <a href="http://www.fairtrade.org.uk/press_office/press_releases_and_statements/september_2010/fairtrade_fortnight_award_winners_2010_annonced.aspx" target="_blank">have been announced</a>. They include <a href="http://www.warrington.gov.uk/fairtrade/" target="_blank">Warrington Fairtrade Group</a>, which held a Strictly Fairtrade Tea Dance, a Mad Hatter&#8217;s Fairtrade Tea Party and a Big Tea Swap Shop; <a href="http://www.knowsley.gov.uk/residents/environment,-recycling,-waste/sustainable-development/fairtrade-pledge.aspx" target="_blank">Knowsley Fairtrade</a>, which encouraged local school pupils to help baboons at a safari park to swap their usual bananas for Fairtrade ones; and <a href="http://www.fairtradehartlepool.org.uk" target="_blank">Hartlepool Fairtrade Town</a>, whose members dressed up as tea bags and were dunked in Hartlepool Marina!</li>
<li>Long-time Fairtrade supporters Clipper Teas are to make their TV advertising debut (<a href="http://www.marketingmagazine.co.uk/news/1028149/Clipper-Teas-plans-TV-ad-debut/" target="_blank">reports Marketing Magazine</a>). The ads feature an animated teapot, spoon and tea characters and are being made by ad agency WARL and Aardman Animations. Keep an eye out for the ads during ITV1&#8242;s Daybreak show.</li>
<li>And over in Canada, Cadbury has commissioned Ghanaian artist Nii Ashangmore to produce an amazing mural to celebrate the country&#8217;s Dairy Milk bars going Fairtrade. Take a look at the &#8216;Big Fair Trade Picture&#8217; <a href="http://cadburydairymilk.typepad.com/fairtrade/2010/09/the-canadian-cadbury-fairtrade-story.html" target="_blank">on Cadbury&#8217;s blog</a> &#8211; and <a href="http://dairymilk.ca/fairtrade/en/" target="_blank">check out Cadbury Canada&#8217;s excellent Fairtrade website</a>.</li>
